My Story
I grew up on both coasts of the United States. Early years in the San Francisco Bay area of California, teenage years in Southern Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. I’ve been a performer all of my life.
When the time came to go to college, I knew I wanted to be a professional actor, but thought that sounded very irresponsible. I tried to major in theater education instead. Fortunately, I was awarded a scholarship to pursue my major in Musical Theater at the University of Tampa, and I’ve been a professional ever since.
I fell in love with “the craft” as they say, and eventually attended the Eugene O’Neill Center’s National Theater Institute. I moved to New York City in 2010, and after a few years of working with Classic Stage Company and a Shakespeare theater troupe called Tale Told Productions, I found myself at the prestigious MFA Acting Program at Columbia University. There I worked with some of the greats: Kristin Linklater, Ann Bogart, Andrei Serban, and others. I graduated with my terminal degree in 2016.

Today
Today I am glad to call myself an actor, a producer, and an educator. In 2020 I co-founded an education minded company, Apocalyptic Artists Ensemble, that has set itself the mission of envisioning the future of classical theater through adaptations and inspirational programs for young people. I am a recognized Shakespeare scholar and advocate for the inclusion of theater programs in K-12 schools and beyond.
I joy in connecting to the body in performance and in life. I am a certified yoga teacher, and am always excited to dust off my training in dance, biomechanics, and psychological gesture for a new project.
In my down time, I’m usually home in Astoria, Queens with my husband, Nick, and my rescue dog, Norman!
